Changes to Environment Act Information Session

As many of you are aware, the Nova Scotia Environment Act is up for its 5 year review and there are a number of changes being proposed by Nova Scotia Environment (NSE). Some changes are minor and administrative however, many of the proposed changes could have a dramatic impact on current and future mining and exploration companies in Nova Scotia.
For example, the government is proposing to:
NSE is requesting industry feedback and comments on the proposed changes. Attached, is the summary document that outlines some of the proposed modifications. However, there isn't sufficient detail in the summary to formulate a full commentary prior to the September 6th deadline.
In response, MANS has worked with the Policy Division of NSE and a detailed presentation on the proposed changes to the Environment Act has been organized for MANS members as follows:
